A Tradition kept alive

We had the most amazing experience staying at a houseboat in Srinagar. The quiet and peaceful location provided a much-needed escape from the noise of the city. We were served tea by our boatkeeper, Bashir, on the balcony while enjoying the stunning views of the lake. The houseboat is beautifully preserved in its original style, which deserves admiration and support. I highly recommend staying here for a few days to fully immerse yourself in this tradition.

Wat hebben we genoten van ons verblijf in dit unieke hotel midden in de stad! De locatie kon niet beter zijn, dichtbij alles en toch heel rustig. De gastvrouw gaf ons veel handige informatie en was ontzettend vriendelijk. De kamer was compact maar zeer praktisch, en de badkamer was ruim en modern. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en het uitzicht vanaf het dek was prachtig. Enig minpuntje was het ontbreken van een televisie.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and made us feel taken care of. The hotel facilities were also impressive, including the spacious and clean rooms and the air conditioning. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious.
